Professor O’Shea graduated from UCC in 1996 and did her specialist training in Haematology in Ireland and the UK.
She did a clinical fellowship in Stem cell transplantation in the Hammersmith Hospital, London, and subsequently completed her PhD on genomics in lymphoma, focusing on Follicular lymphoma, at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Queens University of London.
She then took up a consultant haematologist post in Addenbrooke's University Hospital Cambridge , UK, before returning to Cork University Hospital as a Consultant Haematologist in 2010.
Her specialist Interests include Haematological malignancies with a research interest in lymphoproliferative disorders.
