Professor Aisling Ryan

Professor Aisling Ryan is a consultant neurologist based at Cork University Hospital (CUH) and a clinical adjunct professor in the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin. She has extensive clinical experience in the management of patients with neuromuscular disease. She completed neurology specialist training in Ireland, has a PhD in neuromuscular channelopathies from the University of Ulm, Germany and worked as a consultant at the Queen Square Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases prior to returning to Ireland in 2006. She has served as Dean of the Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Chair of the Neuroscience Division at CUH. Her research interests include clinical and epidemiological aspects of neuromuscular disease, and collaborative translational neuroscience projects.
