Dr Peter Kelly
Consultant Cardiologist & General Physician
Dr Peter Kelly is a Consultant Cardiologist and General Physician based at Cork University Hospital and the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital. He graduated from University College Cork with an MB BCh NUI in 1997 before completing Higher Specialist Training in Cardiology and joining the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register in Cardiology in 2008.
Following his specialist training in Ireland, Dr Kelly undertook advanced fellowship training at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. He returned to Cork in 2008 to join the UCC cardiac group, where he has since been involved in providing comprehensive consultant cardiology services to patients across the region.
Dr Kelly has a longstanding commitment to medical education and has contributed to postgraduate teaching, national cardiology meetings and peer-reviewed clinical research. He has presented on contemporary developments in cardiovascular medicine and continues to play an active role in the education of medical students, junior doctors and specialist trainees.
